Pentagon uses ShortSea and DeepSea solutions to move its own equipment in the markets where we have the largest presence. 70% of our transport includes the use of ships to move our equipment, and our customer's goods.

We have a wide range of services that fall into the main segments of transport and logistics.

Road freight; Pentagon operates a large, over 130, fully owned trailer fleet including standard and special equipment providing road transportation for a diverse market. Based on own infrastructure and an extensive external network we deliver unique trucking solutions across Europe. About 40 own trucks are involved in our activity in Norway, and we have through our cooperation with our clients built a system that we regularly use for base to base traffic, and national transport in between Norwegian destinations.

Sea freight; Pentagon has over 40 years of experience in handling all types of sea freight. Our network and close cooperation with the largest global ocean carriers allow us to offer competitive solutions for LCL, containers, breakbulk and special cargo anywhere in the world, but also with local and regional shipping lines for the Norwegian coast and close continental ports, all with fixed sailing schedules.

Airfreight; Pentagon as an approved IATA agent operates as a complete airfreight forwarder and handles a large number of consignments for a wide range of clients. We deliver all types of airfreight solutions from onboard courier to full charters.

Chartering & project cargo; Pentagon chartering department combines extensive experience with highly specialized competence to offer our clients unique transport solutions for all types of project cargo. Through our extensive network of ship owners, subcontractors, own infrastructure and competence, we carry out a large number of projects, ranging from standard transport to complex logistics projects.

Ships agency Vessel & Port clearance; Pentagon handles regionally more than 500 vessel and port clearances every year. Our clients are vessel and rig owners, cargo owners and parties within Oil & Gas, Energy, Offshore, Industry, Cruise & Navy. Through our experienced agency department, we take on the responsibilities for all service delivery and coordination towards ship owners, cargo owners, port authorities and other authorities.

Warehousing; Pentagon owns and operates warehouses at various strategic locations. We offer both national and international warehousing services all according to our client’s needs. Our infrastructure is closely linked to ports, airports, road- and rail hubs. Offering indoor and outdoor, and specialized warehousing capacities.

3PL (third party logistics); Pentagon has developed our own third-party logistics system, Insight. We operate complete logistics processes for several of the largest companies within the Oil & Gas, Energy and Offshore market. Our system can easily be adapted and modelled to meet each client’s needs. This allows for a seamless IT and logistics process from PO creation to cargo delivery.

Customs; Pentagon’s highly skilled, trained and competent employees provide our clients with a wide array of customs services. We operate our bonded warehouses and through consultancy and training services, we assist clients in achieving full customs compliance.

Norwegian Oil and Gas Guidelines 091; Pentagon's department in Stavanger is certified in accordance with NOG 091, - for securing of supplies and stock in the oil and gas industry.

Pentagon is certified to handle, pack and secure cargo carrying units for delivery directly to the installations offshore. Our personnel are trained and certified in accordance with NOG-116.

CarePak and preserving; Pentagon offers a full range of preservation and packing services. We will help our clients minimize risk of value loss or damage under storage, transportation, or installation, by choosing the right solutions for your products and assets. Our experts are experienced in dealing with preservation, with storage, transport, export and packing challenges.
